About EMOI

A corner of Tokyo on Ham Long Street

EMOI is at No. 63 Ham Long Street — part of Cua Nam Ward, Hanoi since 1 July 2025 (formerly Hang Bai Ward, Hoan Kiem District), about 1 km from Hoan Kiem Lake. From the Old Quarter or the hotels around the lake it is only a few minutes by taxi, and motorbikes park right out front.

Inside is a Japanese-style izakaya: paper lanterns lettered in Japanese fill the ceiling, a wall is covered with hundreds of wooden ema plaques carrying guests' wishes, and there is a shrine roof lined with red lights, ukiyo-e paper fans and rows of velvet sofas behind brass-slat railings. The kitchen serves sashimi, sushi and grilled skewers with a seasonal menu, while Japanese city pop mixes with live DJ sets. Doors are open 6 PM – 12:30 AM every day, and the team takes birthday, group and company party bookings.
